Digital Signal Processing and Control System Lab abbreviated as DSP & CONTROL Lab is employed for the undergraduate students of our college. The postgraduates use it as a Project Lab while the undergraduates utilise it for working in Scilab and MATLAB Student version .This lab is facilitated for the students in their third semester as Signal and Systems Lab, fifth semester as Control System Lab and sixth semester as Digital Signal Processing Lab.

List of Experiments For Signals & Systems Using MATLAB (EC393):
1. Introduction to basic of MATLAB. 2. Generation of various type of signal. 3. Study Ztransform of sinusoidal signals and step functions. 4. Study of Signal Synthesis via sum of harmonics. 5. Study of LPF, HPF, Band pass and Band reject filters using RC circuits. 6. Study of sampling of analog signals and effect of different sampling rates on sampled output. 7. Study of sampling theorem for low pass signals and band pass signals 8. Study the components of Square wave and Clipped sine wave. 9. Study the convolution of two sequences (functions) in Discrete domain as well as in Continuous domain.

1. Introduction to basic of MATLAB. 2. Generation of various type of signal 3. Implementation of Transfer Functions of system and Block Diagram Reduction. 4. Implementation the Laplace Transform and Inverse Laplace Transforms of function and transfer function of the block. 5. Implementation of time response when inputs are unit impulse and unit step function. 6. Determination of step response of a given transfer function tr, tp, ts, mp of a given transfer function. 7. Implementation of the Steady state error, Root locus, Bode Plot for a given open loop transfer function.

1. Sampled sinusoidal signal, various sequences and different arithmetic operations. 2. Convolution of two sequences using graphical methods and using commands verification of the properties of convolution. 3. Ztransform of various sequences â€“ verification of the properties of Ztransform. 4. Twiddle factors â€“ verification of the properties. 5. DFTs / IDFTs using matrix multiplication and also using commands. 6. Circular convolution of two sequences using graphical methods and using commands, differentiation between linear and circular convolutions. 7. Verifications of the different algorithms associated with filtering of long data sequences and Overlap â€“add and Overlapsave methods. 8. Butterworth filter design with different set of parameters. 9. FIR filter design using rectangular, Hamming and Blackman windows.
